Be Sure to Fill Out Your Parent Satisfaction Survey
Please take some time to complete the Parent/Guardian Satisfaction Survey which you should have received last week in your family’s primary email. The survey window closes on Friday, March 25. This confidential survey, administered by SureVista, will give our administration and Board valuable feedback for their long-range planning. If you did not receive an email link, please contact Barb Frost via email or 630-562-7546 and she’ll make sure you receive one.
Project LEAD Book Drive
The Project LEAD Local team has organized a book drive that has begun and will conclude on March 25. Bring all books in good condition and drop them off in the bookshelf located across from the Front Office. All appropriate books for adult or children are greatly appreciated. All books will be donated to local schools in need! Deadline for Yearbook Senior Ads

Wheaton Academy is pleased to announce our 11th Annual Alumni & Friends Booster Scramble on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Mill Creek Golf Club in Geneva. Register your foursome today for $500 (or yourself for $125); all proceeds benefit WA's scholarship fund. Registration/lunch/putting contest start at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Click here

Save the Date for the Baccalaureate Service
All seniors and their families are invited to the first annual Baccalaureate Service on June 3. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and conclude around 8:00 p.m. The service will include a time of student sharing, worship, prayer, and an address by a special speaker. Contact Andrew Tink
Don't Forget to Sign Up for Driver's Education
In an effort to accommodate student schedules and extracurricular activities, Excel Driving School is now offering after school driver’s education courses at Wheaton Academy. Two courses will be offered each semester that will run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. The next available session will run from April 4 to May 5, 2011. Once again this summer, in addition to the regular summer ceramics class, we will have a ceramics class for the extended WA community
– parents and friends, faculty, any alumni or even graduating seniors who never had time to take ceramics during their four years, (or did, but can’t get enough). Now is your chance to learn wheel and handbuilding techniques. This class will run June 6 – 17, and space will be limited. Concert Choir Tour "Send-Off" Concert
The Wheaton Academy Concert Choir will be kicking off their annual tour this year with a Send-Off Concert on Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be held in the white Chapel on campus, not in the Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature songs that explore themes of "joy and sorrow." Admission is free.

2011 Course Request Approval – Due Friday, March 25
Please watch for an important and time sensitive mailing early next week containing your student(s) course requests for 2011-2012. In this mailing you will find a copy of the course requests for your files and an original that needs to be signed by the parent and the student and returned to Student Services by Friday, March 25. Please read the instructions and change policy carefully. Don’t forget to mail/drop off this form to Student Services before you begin your well deserved Spring Break!

will help familiarize you with course offerings, prerequisites, graduation requirements, Wheaton Academy grading system/credit information…and so much more. Many of your questions can be answered by reviewing this informative document.
There are a variety of options for preparation for the ACT. The course taught by WA teachers begins April 25 and runs through May. A small group ACT study course (limit 5) is being offered through Ignite beginning the week of April 4. Their website is www.igniteprogress.com

Parents, when college reps come to visit WA, it is a great opportunity for students to learn more about these colleges – but also about colleges in general. Encourage your sons and daughters to stop by and meet these reps when they’re at WA.

The Illinois College Exposition will take place Monday, March 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center at North Central College in Naperville. Over 200 colleges and universities will be in attendance.
Today, March 18 is the deadline to register for Advanced Placement exams. Registration takes place via the WA website. For further information, contact Dan Crabtree.

What is and is Not Normal in Teenage Emotions and Behaviors?

This session will explore the turbulent and confusing nature of teenage emotions and behaviors. We will look at normal teenage emotions and behaviors as well as problematic emotions and behaviors. We will also discuss depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD as well as other issues common to teenagers.
