Special Art Walk Event at Wheaton Academy
November 18, 2011
The Fine Arts Department has organized the first Fine Arts Week at Wheaton Academy. Friday’s event is open to the public and will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Evening of Moderns which is a showcase of student poetry, improv, dance, and music. Following the show, the audience will be invited to experience art first-hand through an art walk. The art walk will allow visitors to visit nine different stations on campus that are based on a Chronicles of Narnia theme.

Each station is uniquely themed and designed to give visitors a taste of different art forms. Guests will have the opportunity to paint, spin the ceramics wheel, dance, play the drums, and much more. Part of the experience will be held outside and one station even includes alpacas with a showcase of wool apparel and items. Many stations include refreshments such as hot chocolate, cider, popcorn, and cotton candy. Admission for the art walk is $5 per person.
