It is once again time for the Wheaton Academy Spring Musical! We are so excited about this year's production of Les Miserables
. As you know, we could not do our intermission desserts without your help. If you are willing to donate money for a dessert or punch ingredients, bake or purchase a dessert (we will send you a simple recipe), we would appreciate it so much. If you are willing to help in this way, please email Kori Hockett

Prospective Family Night
We invite all parents and students to join us for our upcoming Prospective Family Night on Monday, February 6. The event will include a panel discussion followed by mini-session presentations on academics, fine arts, athletics, and financial aid. Student-led tours, co-curricular sponsors, and administration will also be present at this event. The presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Wheaton Academy Atrium. No reservation is necessary.
Dads Prayer - Special Guest Ryan Hall
All WA dads are invited to our monthly Dads Prayer on Saturday, February 11 at 8:00 a.m. in the historic white Chapel. We will be introduced to a different teacher or staff member each month who will share some prayer needs from a WA employee’s perspective. Our special guest for February is Ryan Hall, WA Admissions Assistant and alumnus of the class of 2005. Please be in prayer for your students, their teachers and our school.
Middle School Night – Varsity Basketball Game
On Saturday, February 4 the Admissions Office invites all middle school students and their immediate family to join us as the Wheaton Academy boys basketball team competes against Marian at the Warrior Dome. Free pizza and refreshments will be available at the top floor of the Field House for all middle school students. Additionally, all middle school students and immediate family members will receive free admission to the basketball game. The tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. and pizza will be served at 7:00 p.m. We will have a special halftime contest for all middle school students in attendance. Additionally, the most spirited Warrior fan will receive a prize. Come dressed in maroon and ready to cheer on your Warriors!Middle School Musical Matinee – Homeschool Groups

Driver's Education Course
In an effort to accommodate student schedules and extracurricular activities, Excel Driving School is now offering after school driver’s education courses at Wheaton Academy. Two courses will be offered each semester that will run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. The next available session will run from April 2, 2012 to May 3, 2012. Two Representatives at WA During Lunch on Monday
The Greek Bible Institute, which offers the Alpha program a one-year accredited Bible study program in Greece - and Northwoods International University, a Bible college in Wisconsin, will be at WA on February 6, 2012.
Accessing Student Transcripts
Have you wondered how to print out your student(s) transcripts (for Good Student Discounts on insurance)? It's easy! Just log in to WA Web
. On the left side of your WA Web account, your student's name will appear under "Show for." If you have multiple students, you will need to choose the student you wish to see from the drop down box. Click on the tab that states your student's name and grade (i.e., Billy's grade) - then on Transcript.

Presented by: Chris Mazzarella, Psy.D., LCPC, Heritage Professional Associates. This session will explore the turbulent and confusing nature of teenage emotions and behaviors. We will look at normal teenage emotions and behaviors as well as problematic emotions and behaviors. We will also discuss depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and other issues common to teenagers.
March 17 - How to Prepare for a Highly Selective College
Presented by: Dan Crabtree, WA College Counselor. Some students set their sights on applying to highly selective colleges. This session explores the processes and expectations of selective college admission and how to best prepare for them.

PLAN Test Results
The PLAN test (a pre-ACT) was administered to our sophomores in the fall. The score reports were distributed to the students during last week’s Advisory Group session, with an accompanying booklet titled Using Your PLAN Results
. Parents, be sure to take a look at this helpful information.

The upcoming ACT prep course is full. Another course will begin at the end of April and run through late May. Click here
