Girls Basketball Winterim Trip - Wheaton Academy

Girls in 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade Basketball Winterim Trip

The basketball team comes together during Winterim in a unique format. During the two weeks of Winterim, the team spends one week on campus in a concentrated practice format, along with local internships and service projects, and plays a couple games from their regular schedule. During the other week of Winterim, the team traditionally goes to another area of the nation to play out of state opponents and to serve a community through a service project. The time together has been a historically great benefit for the team to bond and unite under a common vision and mission. Players are encouraged to participate in the team trip, service projects, and internships to meet their Winterim requirement.

Wheaton Academy will be partnering with Go Ministries in the Dominican Republic.  GO Ministries partners with local leaders to Redeem, Renew & Restore.  During the trip we will interact with kids and families through VBS, community service projects and through sports clinics to integrate the love of Jesus with the passion of basketball to the others.  Students will have an opportunity to fundraise for this trip.

Families that wish to have their students participate in and attend any WA trip that requires a family financial contribution must first have their tuition account current at the time of application and until the trip departure.
