Adventure Club | Fall Rock & Winter Ice Climbing Trips

Sponsor: Matt Dominguez

Participants: 4-10, based on seniority

Open to: Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors; by application and acceptance

Season Dates: October for fall trip; January/February for the winter trip

Weekly Schedule: No weekly commitment

Cost: Approximately $50 -$200 to cover the cost of trips

Special Factors: Must have parent permission form and waiver signed prior to the trip; students must apply and be selected based on physical, social, emotional, and spiritual maturity; WA equipment to rent; scholarships available. Visit the WA Adventure Club Facebook page to see pictures from last year!

Parent Participation: Prayer for our excursions. May have opportunities to participate in the adventures and chaperone.

Known Conflicts: Winter weekend trip is subject to winter ice/snow conditions.

Climbing Club & Climbing Team

Sponsor: Luke Regan

Participants: Unlimited, however, there are only 13 seats available in the van going to Vertical Endeavors; based on seniority

Open to: Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Season Dates: All year

Weekly Schedule: Trips to Vertical Endeavors in Glendale Heights 2-3 times a month from 3:15- 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Climbing Team will have the opportunity to participate in 2-3 competitions throughout the year.

Cost: $10 per visit to Vertical Endeavors

Special Factors: We climb at Vertical Endeavors, a world class indoor climbing wall in Glendale Heights.

Parent Participation: Sign liability waivers; help keep kids accountable for safety and positive mature behavior

Known Conflicts: None; open participation

Guys' Campout

Sponsor: Sean McCallum

Participants: Unlimited

Open to: Freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior boys

Season Dates: September 13-15, 2018

Weekly Schedule: No weekly commitment

Cost: $75

Special Factors: Trip leaves after school on Friday and returns Sunday afternoon; some camping equipment will be needed; parent permission is required.

Parent Participation: None

Known Conflicts: Possible conflict with fall sports, but there will be late buses on Friday night for athletes.

Maroon Platoon

Participants: Unlimited

Open to: Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Season Dates: Our students that cheers at all games. Lead by a group of seniors. They lead cheers and arrange for game themes at all of our home games.

Trap Club

Sponsor: Ken Ellis

Participants: Unlimited

Open to: Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Season Dates: Fall & Spring

Weekly Schedule: Tuesday nights, some Saturdays

Cost: $90

Special Factors: Students need to apply for IL FOID card
