Imagination has the power to see the greater story at work in the ordinary world around us. The Riverside Creative Arts Camp aims to inspire your child and fill them with curiosity and wonder. Through a variety of unique workshops, a fellowship of artists will guide the campers on a fantastic adventure through the performing and visual arts. And don’t miss special guest Harris III (“the third”), master storyteller and illusionist, on June 17 and 18. He will lead workshops for the campers and also perform in a show.

In this camp, students will receive their very own Ender 3 V3 SE printer, put it together, and learn how to print 3D objects designed in the online CAD program, Tinkercad.

Attendees of the Advanced Maker Camp should plan to use their Ender 3D printer built during the Beginner Maker Camp in Summer 2021 or 2022. Attendees should have experience in Tinkercad.
Students will use 3D printing, laser cutting, and CAD while harnessing the principles of physics to design a miniature catapult or ballista that will be used in an epic miniature game of crossbows and catapults at the end of the week. This camp builds off of basic skills learned in the beginner camp, enabling the students to hone their making skills in the context of a fun and friendly miniature game. Camp cost includes extensive 3D printing supplies that your student will use.

Come and work on drills and preparation for next season. We will work on some of the basics needed to perform for your travel teams and prepare you for the high school level. We will scrimmage and build community. T-shirts will be included with the camp fee. No prior experience necessary but is preferred.

This camp is designed to build a strong foundation in athletic performance for middle school athletes. Each session will include speed training, agility drills, plyometrics, and strength training, all tailored to help young athletes move better, get stronger, and build confidence in a fun and focused environment. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique, injury prevention, and developing lifelong training habits.

Spark: A Summer STEM Experience is a summer camp for rising 4th – 6th grade students who want to explore the history and future of science, including topics like electricity, flight, chemistry, and more!

Middle School Girls Pre-Season Prep Volleyball Camp

The Pre-Season camp will focus on instruction and reps with individual skills, as well as focus on team-based drills and scrimmage situations. Players are welcome to come as individuals or come as a team.

Hosted by the Center for Lifelong Learning, this two-day Executive Functioning Summer Workshop takes place during the Summer Academy lunch break (June 10 & 12, 12:15–12:45 PM). Students will gain practical tools for time management, organization, and academic planning. Led by a Certified Executive Functioning Coach, the $100 workshop includes a strengths-based assessment, hands-on planning tools, and opportunities to practice techniques that build confidence and reduce academic stress. This is a great opportunity to set your student up for success as they enter high school at Wheaton Academy.
