Joel Visker returned to Wheaton Academy in 2020 as our Vocal Music teacher and head girls tennis coach. Already a familiar face to many, Joel also served on Wheaton Academy’s faculty from 2005-2016. During his time at Wheaton Academy, Joel directed five ensembles, provided vocal direction for musicals, led choir tours, and took many students on J-term trips to Mexico, Wisconsin, and the British Virgin Islands. In 2016, Joel and his family followed the Lord’s call to ministry in Yantai, China, where he was the music teacher at Yantai Huasheng International School.  This experience grew Joel’s love for learning from students who come from different cultural backgrounds.  Since the Viskers return to the United States in 2017, Joel served as the Choral Music Director at The Bear Creek School in Redmond, Washington before returning to Wheaton Academy in 2020.
