Encouragement from Don and Justine:
When our oldest son was in 8th grade, he made the decision to attend another high school. He felt that there was an opportunity for him to be a light and make an impact on the kids at the school he selected. But in the middle of his sophomore year, he came to us and said, “I know that I’m filling up everybody else’s cup… but my cup isn’t being filled.”
Our son transferred to Wheaton Academy, and we’ve never looked back. His cup is overflowing! He has been able to grow in his faith journey. His social circle expanded as he developed deep friendships with peers and strong mentorships with staff, coaches, and teachers.
As a parent, I feel so encouraged as I see him developing these strong relationships with people who can guide, help, and support him as he grows towards independence. I feel a synergy with Wheaton Academy, knowing that the school’s values are in alignment with our family’s values.
