our Year in Review
From achieving SAT benchmark scores that place our students among the top-performing public schools in Illinois to earning national recognition as a CAPE Blue Ribbon School this has been a year marked by growth, excellence, and God’s faithfulness. We’ve celebrated 10 athletic signings, a back-to-back state championship in math, and student-designed innovations in the new IDEA Lab. Most importantly, we’ve watched students grow deeper in faith—preaching in chapel, sharing the gospel, and discovering who God has created them to be.
“This community deepened my understanding of God’s love. For international students, the biggest challenge is the sense of belonging and the absence of family. But the Lord gave me host families whom I now consider my own, and their children as my own siblings. I have friends whose shoulders I can cry on and who are there for me when life breaks my heart, as well as teachers who encouraged me in both Christ and excellence.”

“Nowhere else have we found a community, although not perfect, that is so intentional about teaching the Bible and how to live it out daily in our lives. It isn’t the buildings or facilities (though these have been greatly updated since our days here), or even the top-notch musicals and theater productions. It’s not the athletic teams that compete at high levels, and it isn’t even the state champion math team two-peat! Those are not what make WA special. The difference here is how the faculty and staff partner with the parents to create a community focused on loving the Lord, teaching His word, and living it out daily. “
